The operating system for fisheries control

A single platform where the fisheries authority tracks its fleet in real time, enforces licences and quotas, and documents every violation with traceable evidence.

In production
Live today inside a national maritime control authority
VMS + AIS in one view
Domestic, foreign and small-scale fleets on the same chart
Open technology
No recurring licences, no vendor lock-in
The problem

The data already exists. It just lives in separate places.

Satellite positions sit in one system, licences in a spreadsheet, catch reports on paper and enforcement records in a file cabinet. Without cross-checking them, spotting an irregular operation depends on someone noticing in time.

Scattered data
Position, permit, catch and penalty live in systems that never talk to each other.
Reactive control
The violation surfaces weeks later, once the useful evidence is already gone.
Fragile evidence
Without technical traceability, the case collapses at the administrative or judicial stage.
What Brizo Grid is

The three MCS pillars on a single platform

Brizo Grid does not replace a country's legal framework — it implements it. Control rules are configured against the fisheries law in force for the authority operating the system.

01
Monitoring
Every vessel's position in real time, with track history, speed and heading. Automatic reporting of signal loss against the deadlines set by law.
02
Control
Licences, quotas and permitted gear cross-checked against what the vessel actually does at sea. Closures and restricted zones loaded as map layers.
03
Surveillance
Automatic alerts on irregular operations, and an evidence file ready to support enforcement before the competent authority.
In production

Proven on a real fishery, not on a demo

Brizo Grid was built operating over the Argentine Sea — one of the most demanding industrial fisheries in the South Atlantic, with a domestic fleet, foreign fleets in adjacent waters and a sub-area management regime.

Control Centre · VMS + AIS
Brizo Grid control centre: chart with VMS positions of the domestic fleet, foreign vessels via AIS, closed areas and a recent-alerts panel.
Control centre — illustrative data
Live integration with the control agency
The system pulls official positions straight from the national maritime authority's service — no manual loading.
Automatic fishing-activity classification
The engine groups consecutive positions into real fishing sets and flags active fishing, including prohibited night operations.
Sub-area and effort management
Management sub-area cartography with fishing-effort and operation-density calculations per zone.
Multi-fleet, multi-source
One data model absorbs VMS, AIS and mobile reports from small-scale fleets without redesigning the system.
How we work

The system ends up belonging to the authority that runs it

We do not sell a subscription or a recurring licence. We sell implementation and training: once that stage is complete, the system is fully owned by the State, running on open-source technology.

Ongoing support continues because the authority chooses it, not because the system forces it.

No licence fees
Open-source foundation: no cost per server, per user or per year.
Full ownership
Code, database and data stay under State control, hosted wherever the authority decides.
Operational autonomy
Training is aimed at the local team running the system on its own.
